During the last 2 quarters of the year, I am changing the way we handle study hall. I feel that as we get closer to students going to high school the more they need to learn responsibility for themselves. Study hall is open everyday for those that need help or want to work on something in a more quiet place. I will help anyone who needs it. We can do homework together and prepare for tests together. I will not go looking for students. It is the students responsibility to make a good choice on how they spend their time.
Previous Policy
You must report to room 221 during your study hall period on Monday, Wednesday, Thursday and Friday.
If you report on Monday, Wednesday and Thursday and have no missing assignments slips for the week, you will be excused from attending on Friday. However, if there is a test on the upcoming Monday or a significant piece of work is due we will meet.
If you miss a Monday, Wednesday or Thursday you must make up the day missed on Friday.
You may always come on Friday or any other day for help with a subject.
If after reporting to room 221 and we have reviewed your obligations, you may be excused to:
work with another teacher
work on lab experiments
attend any special meetings
return to you home room (Only if current)
If you are in school and do not follow this policy, you are subject to a conduct slip!
The study hall teacher can modify this policy at any time.
